Fertility Smoothie

Fertility SmoothieSpinach is an excellent source of vitamins, folic acid and iron – all very important for a mum and swimmers and bubs. Spinach seems to be rather tasteless and takes on the taste of whatever it is with. I was sceptical of “pond water green juice” but it honestly tastes like kiwi fruit smells – delish. It is very filling too and when I make it for breakfast for my husband and I, it lasts us through to lunch easily.

  • 250ml of almond milk
  • 1 cored apple, with the skin on
  • 1 banana
  • 1 teaspoon organic Maca powder
  • handfuls of spinach (as much as will fit into the blender!)

Blend them all together and voila – instant yum 🙂 If you have the full pint, it works out to about 250 calories (if you are curious) and when I did Weight Watchers, it was 2 Pro Points. Sometimes we split the smoothie into two 250ml glasses for a quick drink before running out the door!
